Super Sunflower Milk

Super Sunflower Milk

1 C Raw Hulled Sunflower Seeds
3 ¼ C Water + Water for Soaking
3 Pitted Medjool Dates
Pinch of Sea Salt
Pinch of Ground Cinnamon
2 T Maca Powder
¾ t Pure Vanilla Extract (Optional)

Soak seeds in water to cover in a bowl one hour. Drain. Add to Blender.
Add 3 ¼ C Fresh Water.
Blend until smooth.
Add dates, salt, and cinnamon.
Blend until smooth
Strain mixture through a fine mesh sieve or nut bag.
Return to blender. Add Maca Powder and vanilla extract if using.
Blend until smooth.
Transfer to a glass container, cover, refrigerate.
Stir or shake before using.
Yield: 3 Cups.
Serve chilled over ice or blended with ice to make a malted milk shake or with your favorite fruit for a unique vegan smoothie.
